Perry Johnson Registrars CDM offers validation and verification/certification of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) under the Kyoto Protocol.
CDM/JI projects must meet certain requirements in order to be qualified as CDM/JI projects.
In the validation stage, a DOE reviews the project design document (PDD) submitted by a project participant. The DOE verifies whether the project complies with the criteria defined under the UNFCCC, and also evaluates if GHG reduction will be appropriately conducted through the CDM project.
Once the project starts, the DOE implements periodic reviews to verify compliance with the criteria defined by UNFCCC, and determines the amount of GHG emission reduction. The GHG reduction amount certified by the DOE will be issued as a CER/ERU from UNFCCC.
